(see the full crew listing for the breakdown).
The NRSS Steel Fist carries a crew of 4
Command Structure:
Crew Bios:
Keleman Ciro - Captain Ciro began his career as a computer student at the university of his homeworld, Dolomar. As the Empire tightened its grip on his planet he was drawn into the local resistance movement, eventually, becoming its leader. When the New Republic liberated his world he joined up and with his command experience and guerilla tactics knowledge, he was given command of an elite commando team. He is a stoic man of few words who prefers to let his actions speak for him. He is used to giving order and expecting them to be carried out, but with his lack of capital ship command experience, he is more likely to accept the opinions and recommendations of others. He is a human male in his thirties with dark brown skin and hair.
He was captured over Kal Shebbol by forces loyal to Moff Sarne, and he is apparently alive (as determined by Farseeing) but his whereabouts are unknown. Leilani Keona has been named acting captain in his absence.
[back]
Khepi - Khepi (grandson of the reigning Jarrel Warlord) is a Jarrell warrior armed with a vibroaxe and a blaster carbine. He looks very strong and tough but he also seems to have some cunning to him. He is far from a brainless thug. He also has connections with and some knowledge of criminal activities in this sector. He is extremely loyal, honorable and dedicated to his job, and you think that when it comes to unbridled aggression he might be able to give Unda a run for his money. [back]
Gorak Kzham - Gorak is a rodian who claims to be a former smuggler who worked the Kathol Sector for years, running food and supplies to worlds struggling under Sarne's tyrannical grip. He was allowed to join the Farstar crew due to his extensive knowledge of Kathol Sector. He was made tactical officer due to his reputation as one of the best gun fighters in this sector. He is reserved for a Rodian, only offering his opinion when asked and keeping to himself. His opinions are always sound and take the needs and safety of the crew into account. He avoids all forms of close contact and the only members of the crew he seems to spend any time with are Kl'aal and Scoryn. He also at times seems to be nervous and almost paranoid, but other times, cold and withdrawn. [back]
Scoryn - Scoryn is a human woman in her mid-forties who looks like she has had a very rough life. She keeps her graying hair tied in a tail, and she is never seen without her armor and heavy blaster pistol. She claims to have been abducted by slavers as a young age, and after her escape, served various local businessmen as security. She is stern and hard, and she tries to keep the crew in line, which is no small feat, given the deplorable conditions of the ship and the horrendous working and living conditions. She seems to have a
great deal of respect and loyalty to Gorak, but no one knows why. [back]
Thanis Gul-Rah - Thanis is a former bounty hunter who claims to have retired to a quiet life on Kal Shebbol. What persuaded him to come out of retirement and join the Farstar crew is unknown. Rumors swirl about him, like that he is a former stormtrooper commander and that he was a member of the notorious group called Qulok's Fist. Regardless, he is a good leader, a powerful combatant, and a skilled tactician. He dual wields blaster pistols and he is normally seen wearing his battle armor around the ship. Under his helmet, he looks like a handsome human in his thirties, with long hair and a perpetual scowl. He seems to take his mission on Farstar so seriously as to almost be religious fervor, which no one understands or knows why. [back]
Unda Lagor - Unda is a massive aqualish who was rescued from Sarne's dungeon. With all records wiped, he claims to be a political prisoner which anyone who has spend a minute with him, knows is a lie. He is like most aqualish, brutish, obnoxious, intimidating, and rude. However, he is also a
berserker in battle who wields his light repeating blaster with great skill. He tries to go on every away missions because as he says, 'Unda get very upset if he not deal good death'. Since no one wants to see what he is like when he is upset, most comply with him. [back]
Qesya Vth'Naar - Qesya is a large sludir, who was rescued from Sarne's gladiatorial pit. She is a powerful warrior, who takes her personal honor very seriously. She wears her long hair in a topknot and wields a massive vibroaxe. She is fiercely protective of the dull witted alien, Gunthar, and
the two are great friends and rarely separated. She seems to hold a great sadness within her that is eclipsed only by her hatred of Sarne. She joined the Farstar to defeat Sarne and to remove some mark of dishonor she faced at his hands. [back]
Boom - Boom is a squat, hunched alien of unknown species. He speaks only one word of basic (BOOM!), but seems to understand it, at least when spoken by his friend, Krudar. The two make a very unlikely pair, and no one knows how they got together. Boom is obsessed with fire and explosions. He has walks around the Farstar with his micro torches testing everything to see
how it burns, giggling maniacally all the while. However, he has shown to have remarkable skills both with explosives and with any kind of trapped device. Boom has a simian appearance with yellow skin, wild, flaming red hair, and a pair of nostrils in his forehead. [back]
Darryn Thyte - Thyte was a former x-wing pilot who lost his arm and eye battling the Empire. After his operation to have a cybernetic arm and eye implanted in him, he gave up the cockpit to become an ops officer. His cybernetic arm has computer hook ups, allowing him to become one with the Farstars computers. He is in charge of communications, sensors, navigation,
and helm functions. He seems to have taken his injury quite hard because he is frequently depressed and tends to lash out at anyone who seems to doubt his abilities or call into question his job. He is a tall thin human in his late twenties and his face is covered with scars from his accident. [back]
Lofrryhn - Lofrryhn the wookiee is a former New Republic spy. He was assigned to infiltrate Sarne's organization and to report back. He became a technician for the Moff and rose quickly in the ranks. The atrocities he reported made defeating Sarne a high priority on the New Republic's list.
However, he was discovered and placed into Sarne's gladiatorial pits, until freed by the New Republic commandos. Lof is a skilled tech and he knows capital ships inside and out, especially the Farstar, since he was the primary tech who worked on its modifications. He is also a fierce hand-to-hand fighter, skilled in the wookiee martial arts form known as Wruushi. [back]
Krudar - Krudar is a Duros gunner who signed onto the Farstar to explore unknown parts of the galaxy, much like his spacefaring ancestors. He is a very skilled gunner and leader and he takes his job very seriously. He claims to have served under the rebellion but how he came to Kal Shebbol, or what he did after the rebellion, no one knows. He is a very proud and honorable warrior who keeps track of his starship kills with small pins on his blast vest. [back]
Edly Fasalk - Edly is a human gunner in his late twenties. His nickname is Pot Shot because he has a tendency to shot fast and often, usually before his targeting computer can even get a lock. The only thing he fires faster and
more often than his turbolaser is his mouth. He wears 2 medals on his blast vest that he claims he got for his bravery at the battle of Hoth and the battle of the first Death Star. He also wears a sash that he claims he got from Princess Leia when he was the gunner on the Millenium Falcon that blew up the second Death Star. No record of him exists in rebellion archives but the rebellion was not known for keeping good records. [back]
Ranna Gorjaye - Ranna is an attractive young woman in her mid twenties. She is the best pilot on the Farstar, but she has the nickname Wingripper because she is very brash and has damaged the wings of her x-wing many times from her quick exits from the Farstar landing bay. She has fiery red
hair and a fiery personality to match. She does not take orders well, and tends to go her own way. It is rumored that she is a former tie fighter pilot who jumped to the rebellion because of her hatred of authority. Her former ship captain respected her abilities but when the Farstar's call for pilots came, was more than glad to get rid of her. [back]
Dasha Defano - Dasha is a female wroonian pilot. She is best friend with Ranna, but the two could not be more dissimilar. Dasha is very cautious, almost to the point of paranoia. She always goes on every mission, even if it is a simple patrol, fully stocked with everything she might possibly need. She is a quiet, young lady, who seems to hold a certain sadness within her. No one knows where she learned to fly starfighters, how she came to Kal Shebbol, or why she joined the Farstar. [back]
Cobb Unser - Cobb is a very young human male, barely into his twenties. He is a former freighter pilot, who had his ship impounded shortly after coming to Kal Shebbol with his sister. Forced to find work to try to get the ship back, Cobb worked as a shuttle pilot and mechanic while his sister worked as a dancer at the local cantina. Eventually the attractive young woman caught the eye of Moff Sarne and she was moved into his fortress. When the New Republic came, Cobb was frantic trying to find his sister, but she was nowhere to be found. He hopes she escaped with Sarne and joined the Farstar to try to
find her and free her from his clutches. [back]
T'Achak T'Andar - T'Achak is a likeable little Chandra Fan, who is a former test pilot. He was fired from just about every company in the core because he liked to steal prototype ships and take them on joy rides. He then became a repulsorlift racer pilot, where he gained much fame. However, he also gained many debts because he loved to bet on anything that moved fast. One step ahead of bounty hunters, he came to Kal Shebbol, and when the Farstar was asking for pilots for a long-term away mission, he jumped at the chance. He spends most of his time in the maintenance bay making modifications to the repulsorlift vehicles or in the lounge making bets. [back]
Velid Danol - Velid is an aged yarkova, with graying whiskers. He is a proud, arrogant scholar who claims to have been a former university professor of some renown. However, he was lured by Sarne to Kal Shebbol, who played on Velid's vanity. Velid was thrilled to speak to an Imperial Moff about his
theories, but when he got there, he was locked up in a laboratory and forced to work for Sarne. He will not admit what he worked on for him, but he pleaded to be allowed onto the Farstar. He hopes to travel to unknown space and make a greet discovery that will allow him to recapture his fame and the respect of his colleagues. [back]
Vegath Tist - Vegath is a tall arconan who claims to be a geologist who came to Kal Shebbol to explore some of the unknown worlds in this sector. However, he somehow lost his funding and when he found that the Farstar was
heading out, he asked to join. It is rumored that he lost his money due to an intense salt addiction and clearly he at times he seems nervous and fidgety, and perfectly normal at other times. However, he is a skilled scientist and he knows a great deal about geology and chemistry. [back]
Gammer Firdaaz - Gammer is an aged human with dark black skin and white hair and mustache. He is a skilled archeologist who came to Kal Shebbol to explore the unknown reaches of space and to meet new cultures and
civilizations. He is a former scout also and is a very skilled outdoorsman. Gammer is a grumpy old codger who likes to give his opinions and curse the foolishness of the young. He is also prone to drinking too much and spends most of his time while in space either in the lounge drinking and regaling the crew with stories, or passed out asleep somewhere on the ship. [back]
Dr Genna Seedar - Genna is a young woman, mature beyond her years. She was a medical student at the University of Kal Shebbol, but after witnessing first hand the atrocities of Sarne, she joined the local resistance group. She
saw a great deal of combat and honed her skills as a first aid and emergency medic. She is a very kind and caring woman but she has an inner strength and hardness that surprises people. She is also a skilled fighter and when she is not wading into combat, she is rushing to the front, dodging blaster bolts to pull out wounded comrades. [back]
Dr Solla Deremot -Solla was a bright-eyed young graduate student when she was given the opportunity to work with the great archeologist Lance Brunou. Although she did not always agree with his pro-imperial politics, she saw him as a father figure. When he was asked by Moff Sarne to come to the Kathol Sector to head up one of his science teams, she went with him. However, after the fallout from Aaris, Solla decided to part ways with Doctor Brunou and join the Farstar crew. She did it both out of a sense of adventure and to pay back the crew for saving her life. She is a no-nonsense type of person with a very independent and adventurous streak. She is an accomplished medical doctor and is versed in the fields of chemistry and biology. [back]
Fxz'Et - PC (Dave Clark)
[back]
Brophar Tofarain - Brophar is a pudgy human in his mid forties. He is always seen wearing his toolbelt and stained coveralls with the sleeves rolled up over his brawny forearms. Brophar was a former sergeant in the local
militia before Sarne came along. Then he became a mechanic, one of the best on all of Kal Shebbol. There is nothing he can't fix, and he spends all his time, trying to keep the FarStar's jury-rigged systems in working order. He is also a good shuttle pilot, and he keeps his personal freighter, the Muvon, docked with the Farstar, although he allows it to be taken on away missions if they promise to be careful. [back]
Kyli Ned'Ix - Kyli is a typical Verpine, obsessed with technology. He spends all his time either in the maintenance bay tinkering on some new device or arguing with Brophar over one of his 'improvements' to the ship's systems.
Kyli joined the Farstar because his workshop was destroyed during the ousting of Sarne and the Admiral felt bad for the easy going Verpine. He generally stays out of everyone's way, but he is hard not to like with his desire to please and naive innocence. [back]
Dann Drugah - Dann is a quiet, shy human in his late thirties. He worked at a droid shop on Kal Shebbol, but joined the Farstar because he would be able to be surrounded by droids all the time. He sees them as his only friends and he rarely leaves the droid bay except when he has to make a housecall on a malfunctioning droid. He has a running feud with Unda who, when he does not get kill something frequently, likes to take out his aggression on whatever droid is nearby. Of course, he steers clear of Dann personally, because Dann has reprogrammed several imperial probots who feel very protective of their new master. [back]
Brandis Turgah - Brandis is a former computer slicer, who was rescued from Sarne's dungeon after he was caught slicing into Sarne's computer systems. Brandis is a very skilled slicer and boasts that there is not a computer system in the galaxy he cannot slice into. He is in charge of all the
ships computer systems and he gets into frequent fights with Darryn for his unorthodox style and his frequent modifications to the computer systems. Brandis is a young, weasily looking human, with a pencil thin mustache. He has the odd habit of disappearing from time to time and no one has been able to find him or what he does while he is gone. [back]
Galeena - Galeena is an unusual devaronian female, since normally members of her race and gender never stray from their home planet. Instead she has the wanderlust of the devaronian males and has hopped from one planet to another for most of her adult life. Early on she showed an aptitude for technology and computers in particular. She signed on with one of the most cutting edge computer companies and became quite successful. But when the company took a special contract with Moff Sarne, things went bad. Sarne, with typical imperial bigotry, would not let her work on the project and instead had her imprisoned. After completing the project Sarne had the rest of her team executed to guarantee their silence. Galeena was able to escape and fled to Pembric. She sought protection from the Bombaasa cartel using her skills as payment. But Bombaasa made her a prisoner as well and when she got the chance to escape with the Farstar she eagerly took it. Galeena does not look like a typical devaronian female. She keeps her long hair shaved on one side and her face and body are covered with tattoos and piercings. [back]
Tanner Carzyn - Tanner is a very young weapon tech. He is in charge of all of the Farstar's hand weapons as well as the massive turbolasers. He is a very skilled tech and is also an accomplished gunner. He is moody and
rebellious as most teenagers but he has a deep hatred for Sarne who he claims enslaved and murdered his family. Tanner is a tall, thin young man who keeps his head shaved except for a wild patch on top. He seems to gravitate to other rebellious members of the crew who seem to be having a very bad influence on him. [back]
Loh'Khar - Loh'Khar is a tall, friendly Twi'lek, whose nickname is The Finder. He claims to be able to sell or find anything, although in his usually self-deprecating mode, he claims it is just a matter of matching the right buyer and the right seller. Loh'khar has the oily, ingratiating charisma of
a used landspeeder salesman but no one can doubt his skill at deal making or finding the impossible. He was allowed to join the Farstar after he showed up with 50 turbolaser power capacitors after the New Republic had searched the entire planet for weeks looking for some. He seems to have some bond with the Turazza triplets who he delegates work to. [back]
Turazza Triplets - The turazza triplets see Loh'Khar as their parent after he got their egg in a business deal and it hatched while under his care. The triplets are small, dexterous reptilians with long tongues that flick the air like a serpent. They seem to be everywhere, always getting underfoot or looking through things they should not be. Only Loh'Khar can tell them apart as well. Nizzal is the oldest and tends to bully her sisters. She is also Loh'Khar's dealmaker and the only one that speaks basic. Vizzal seems to have an innate skill with technology and is good at fixing everything from droids to ship engines. Rizzal is Loh'Khar information gatherer. She can usually be found spying on people or accessing restricted computer files. [back]
Kl'aal - Kl'aal is a defel. The dark shadowy being worked for Sarne in some capacity but he was instrumental in defeating him when he helped the New Republic commandos access the fortress. No one knows what he did for Sarne or what power he held over him, but Kl'aal definitely served against his will and hates Sarne with a passion. The defel seems to have a deep honorable streak and seems very protective over his new 'pack'. He has the startling habit of appearing whenever his name is mentioned. His only friend on the Farstar is Gorak who shares his love of the hunt. [back]
Breslin Drake - Breslin was a New Republic spy assigned to track down and apprehend an imperial assassin called The Wraith. Breslin got close to catching him, but the Wraith escaped but not before killing Breslin’s partner. After that, he lost all trace of the Wraith. His superiors recalled him but he refused and went AWOL. He picked up the trail of the Wraith and followed him to the Kathol Sector. For years he stayed one step behind the Wraith until he eventually got stranded on Pembric. He joined the Farstar to get off the planet but rejoined when he found out the Wraith had been on the ship disguised as one of Breslin’s own employees. With the Farstar crew’s help he was able to defeat the Wraith once and for all. He chose to remain with the Farstar rather than go back and face the New Republic. Breslin is a rugged, weathered man in his forties. He keeps his hair cut short in the military style and he is well versed in all forms of combat, stealth and espionage.
[back]
Jessa Dajus - Jessa is a beautiful young woman who was found imprisoned in Sarne's dungeon. She claims to be a former shuttle pilot who was imprisoned when she tried to defect to the New Republic. However, she seems to know a lot about Sarne personally, and his plans. She claims it is because she was his personal pilot and she overheard alot. She also seems to get bursts of intuition that Captain Ciro thinks might be some link to the Force. Regardless, she was 'invited' to join the Farstar on its mission and serves as a valuable source of information. The crew despises her because she still proudly wears her imperial officer's uniform and she is not allowed to carry a firearm on board the ship because she is still not fully trusted. [back]
Gunthar - Gunthar is a hulking reptilian alien of unknown origin. He seems very slow and dull witted but he has large expressive eyes that seem to look right through people and see what they are feeling. He also has a
profound sadness in his eyes and he is fond of pointing into the unknown portions of Kathol Sector and saying 'Home'. He is well liked by the crew and although normally peaceful, he can be quite the combatant when he feels those close to him are in danger. He was rescued from Sarne's gladiatorial pits along with his constant companion, Qesya. [back]
Ensign SE4F - SE4F is an Industrial Automation series SE4 Protocol Droid. He is one of six such droids originally assigned to the Farstar under Captain Ciro. Shortly after Captain Ciro's shuttle was abducted by an Imperial tractor beam over Kollatil, newly appointed Acting Captain Keona created
the new office of 'Ships Services'. Strapped for personnel not already dedicated to vital duties, and counter to naval tradition, Captain Keona decided to fill this office with a droid. SE4F was chosen over his brethren because he was the first to respond when they were interviewed. Captain Keona thought this showed initiative. [back]
